Who are we?

Duett is an email marketing agency for content creators who care — about their people, their content, and what lands in their subscribers’ inboxes.

We do the whole thing — audience research, strategy, copywriting, and the technical setup, all in one place. We’re AI-supported, not AI-first: the technology serves the strategy, and the strategy stays human.

That’s what your role protects. We don’t ask clients questions we already have the answers to. We set things up right the first time. We follow up before anyone has to ask. Care isn’t a feeling here — it’s architecture, and you’re part of it.

About the role

This role keeps the behind-the-scenes side of our client projects running. You support our Project Managers with what they need for each next step, from onboarding a new client through their audience research and their Email Strategy Playbook.

It’s a detail-heavy role with a lot of different tasks. You won’t be writing client emails or building email sequences; other people on the team do that. What we need is someone who takes what’s assigned and gets it done, and keeps things moving without waiting to be chased.

Who you’ll work with: You’ll report to a Project Manager who oversees several client projects at once.

What you’ll do

Client onboarding and project support

• Set up new clients in our systems and send welcome cards
• Gather clients’ email stats from their email platform before and after a project
• Pull relevant blog content to inform the email copy
• Keep project tasks in Asana current
• Back up the client and team inbox

Audience research

• Help build client audience surveys and keep the Project Manager updated on responses
• Write audience research questions for our Duett Debut clients
• Turn raw survey responses into our audience research findings and write the summary
• Write the research reports that go to clients
• We’ll train you on our research process

Email Strategy Playbook

• Assess each client’s Email Strategy Playbook using our checklist and recommendations, tailored to their needs, struggles and opportunities
• Record the Playbook walkthrough for each client
• Once you’re trained, meet with Playbook clients to review their Playbook and answer their questions

Where this role can grow

We’d love someone who wants to learn and take on more over time. Down the road, that could mean running client care calls where clients talk through their project with us.

You’d be a great fit if you

• Love checking things off, and also look for the better way when a task doesn’t go as planned
• Have VA or project assistant experience, and you’re comfortable with tech (email platforms, forms, automations)
• Have a sharp eye for detail
• Work independently and are comfortable figuring things out without constant direction
• Are proactive and naturally think ahead — you notice what needs to happen next, not just what’s assigned to you today
• Follow through: when something’s assigned to you, it gets done
• Want to keep learning and growing into new responsibilities

Logistics

• Remote subcontractor position with flexible hours
• Up to 30 hours a month to start
• Starting at $25/hour, depending on experience
• Start date: week of November 2
• Available for one or two scheduled client calls a week
