Oh hey there, I′m glad you're here!
And if you're on the hunt for some top-notch email marketing strategy and conversion copywriting tips - you've come to the right place!
You’re almost ready to promote your next offer, yeah?
Are you still nervous about sending your sales emails out this year because you’re afraid of dozens of unsubscribes?
You want to promote something, but people aren’t always going to like it.
UGH, I feel ya.
But don’t worry! It’s totally possible to have a rockin’ sale without the bah-humbug of massive unsubscribes.
While unsubscribes are NORMAL, we also don’t want to annoy the heck out of your subscribers if they would rather stay on your list… but just skip getting these promo emails. There’s a way to do that!
The secret to a strong and profitable sales email campaign (or any email campaign, for that matter) is giving your subscribers control over what content they receive or don’t receive from you.
Here’s how — with three simple steps to follow that will keep you on your subscribers’ ‘good’ list this year:
Your first step is to make sure the right people are receiving your offer. It’s unlikely that EVERYONE on your list is the perfect fit for your offer.
For example, if you’re offering a digital product at a discounted rate, you don’t want to send your sales emails out to people who have already purchased or downloaded the product.
How do you know who’s who on your list? Tags and segments, of course! Using email tags and segments can help you:
Provide more relevant content to your subscribers
Organize your list by interest and behavior
Offer the right content to the right people 🙂
Not everyone who is on your list will WANT to receive your sales emails. For some, they may feel bombarded with so many emails throughout the year. For others, they love your content but it’s not the right time for them to purchase. (And that’s okay!!)
Your task is to make sure they stay on your list instead of jumping ship and unsubscribing from your emails altogether. Allow them a chance to customize their preferences and “mute” (or skip getting) your sales emails for the campaign.
Letting your subscribers “mute” your sales emails is simple and will save your list from shedding half its weight through the launch or promotion!
For specific details on how to do that from a tech standpoint, I explain it all in this guide.
It’s time for you to ditch the fear of selling to your list. In fact, your subscribers are waiting to hear about your offer!
How do I know? The fact that your subscribers have joined your email list tells me they:
Love your content
Want to receive more of your content
Are eager to support you
Find your content helpful
Trust you in their inbox
Are ready to hear about your next big thing!
Selling to your list is not the equivalent of door-to-door selling, cold calling, or being a bro marketer (you know, those guys who blow a lot of smoke and tell you you have to do marketing “their way” ).
Au contraire… selling to your list is actually about offering a product to people who will experience some sort of benefit or change in their lives as a result.
If you’re planning any kind of sale this quarter, you should be tagging and segmenting your list pronto so you can have the healthiest, most profitable sale possible!
